Tesla Model S P90D brings performance and driver technology to a new level
The eccentric boffins at Tesla are forever pushing the boundaries of electric vehicle (EV) technology. Tesla has progressed from the Model S P85+, toP85D and now the Model S P90D which we’re testing this week. The P90D with the 90kWh battery pack develops a jaw dropping 568kW and can dash from 0-100 in 2.8 seconds. Yes, 2.8!
Acceleration is neck-snappingly quick, and delivers an ever so satisfying adrenaline rush, but one needs to keep a keen eye on that large digital speedo to ensure that their licence isn’t revoked.
Another key reason why we’re taking a look at the Tesla Model S once again is the new autopilot technology. The adaptive cruise control is excellent, while the automatic steering technology is promising, the current incarnation leaves room for improvement.
Full report coming soon.
