Toyota Kluger Gets Safety Boost

Toyota equips all Kluger models with comprehensive safety technology

One of Australia’s most popular SUVs, the Toyota Kluger has received an upgrade in safety technology. Toyota has equipped the base Kluger GX and mid-spec GXL with a suite of safety technologies that were previously only available on the flagship Kluger Grande.

The suite of safety tech focuses on avoiding a collision. Therefore, every new Kluger is fitted with pre-collision safety system, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control and automatic high beam.

Toyota has also revised its autonomous emergency braking system so that it can detect pedestrians before they step onto the road, and react accordingly.

Kluger GXL customers also get rain sensing wipers, blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert.

The Kluger is the third model in the Toyota range to receive the safety upgrades, behind the RAV4 and the recently revised Prado.
