Tesla Hints at Tesla Pick Up

Elon Musk hints at Tesla Pick Up truck

Tesla head honcho Elon Musk has hinted that Tesla might be joining the pick up truck game. Really.

And it won’t be just another run of the mill ute. Oh no. The Tesla pick up – if it makes it into production – will have a tray so big that it’ll be able to fit a traditional ute.

The Tesla pick up will be based on the Tesla semi and will share a similar drivetrain, meaning it’ll rocket from 0-100km/h in just five seconds and it’ll be able to travel up to 800km between charges.

What’s more, you won’t need a special licence to drive the pick up, rather it can be driven on a conventional car licence.

There’s no word as to when the Tesla pick up will go on sale, but the Tesla Semi will hit the market in 2019, so if the big ute does go on sale it’ll be some time around then.
