New Tesla Model S P100D capable of completing the 0-100 dash in 2.7 seconds
Tesla has continued to push the boundaries of electric car development with the announcement of the new P100D upgrade.
The system includes a 100kWh battery pack and when the driver engages “Ludicrous” mode, the Model S P100D can silently rocket from 0-100 km/h in a gobsmacking 2.7 seconds. The bigger battery pack also allows for an estimated 613 kilometre range.
Should one need possibly the world’s fastest SUV, they’ll be delighted to know that the Tesla Model X P100D seven seat SUV will be available. The Model X P100D, which dismisses the 0-100 km/h dash in 3.1 seconds, with an estimated 542 kilometre range.
Tesla says that customers with a Model S P90D on order can upgrade to the P100D battery pack for an extra $10,000. Existing Model S P90D owners can get the power boost for an extra $20,000 and Tesla recycles their old battery pack.
