Suzuki Baleno nameplate revived with stylish new small car
The Suzuki model onslaught continues – first we saw the new Suzuki Vitara, now the brand has confirmed a more potent Vitara Turbo and a new Suzuki Baleno hatch.
The new Baleno will offer generous cabin space and some models will be powered by the new BOOSTERJET turbo engine that will also be found in the Vitara Turbo. A seven-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be fitted to some models. Boot space will be 355 litres.
Suzuki says the Baleno is aimed at customers who want want to upgrade from a Swift or want the space of a larger car in a small car package.
Andrew Moore, Suzuki’s General Manager of Automobiles said “The new Baleno gives Suzuki a great offering for the many customers looking for a stylish and spacious small hatch. It will be sure to offer outstanding value that will see it as a great step up from Swift in our line-up.”
Further information on pricing and specifications will be released closer to the Baleno’s Australian launch in the third quarter of 2016.
