Roush Mustang RS3 Confirmed for Australia

529kW supercharged V8 Roush Mustang RS3 to tear up streets in Oz

A ballistic 529kW Mustang, dubbed the Roush Mustang RS3 will be making its way to Australia. The new model is based on the Mustang JackHammer which is in turn based on the Ford Mustang GT.

The Roush Mustang RS3 packs the same supercharged 529kW 5.0 litre V8 as the JackHammer, but the RS3 is said to offer owners more customisation options.

The new Roush brute will be offered locally by Mustang Motorsport, who told Motor that Australian delivered Mustang RS3 models, will be the same spec as their US counterparts, so expect manual and 10-speed automatic transmissions, as well as the ROUSH TVS 2650 supercharger.

A Mustang Motorsport spokesperson told Motor “the Jackhammer will be replaced for the MY2019 model year with ROUSH’s normal RS3 model. The RS3 does allow more customisation with stripe colours, wheel colours, and so on.”

Customers will be able to choose from a range of colours including Performance Pearl, Matt Black Jack, Sin City Silver, and Red Blooded American.

Official pricing is yet to be confirmed, but expect at least $42,800 than a new Mustang GT.
