All-electric Jaguar I-Pace can rapid charge in 45 minutes and is said to boast sports car dynamics
Jaguar has been busy preparing its all electric I-Pace SUV in the better Swedish wildnerness at its cold weather testing facility in Arjeplog, Sweden. The I-Pace has clever stability and traction control systems to deliver the dynamic handling for which Jaguar is famed.
What’s more – and perhaps even more importantly – the I-PACE can charge from flat to 80% in just 45 minutes. Customers will also be able to pre-condition the car’s battery and temperature before departure. Pre-setting charging times and car temperatures can be done through the car’s onboard IControl system or via s smartphone app.
While Jaguar won’t reveal performance specs for the I-Pace, it says that it’ll be rapid, very rapid.
“Not only will the I-PACE charge quickly enough for our customers to carry out their everyday lives, it will offer powerful and precise performance in a variety of conditions and climactic extremes. Allied with the versatile credentials of our celebrated PACE family, this will be an electric performance SUV like no other” said Ian Hoban, Jaguar Vehicle Line Director.
The Jaguar I-PACE will make its international debut on the 1st of March.
