Polestar to Make Own Electric Cars

Volvo’s go-fast partner Polestar to release their own range of electric hot rods, with the first model just around the corner

Volvo’s performance partner Polestar is allegedly preparing to release their own range of electric performance cars, with the first model already waiting in the wings.

The new models are said to be based off Volvo’s new Volvo’s Scaleable Product Architecture (SPA) and Compact Modular Architecture (CMA). Both these new platforms are both compatible with electric drivetrains.

The new Polestar cars could even be built in the same production facilities.

Should parent company Geely’s plans work, the revitalised Polestar brand will act as a true rival to Mercedes-AMG and BMW’s M division, although with a lot less noise.
