Nissan signs as a sponsor for Hawthorn Football Club
Effective from 10th of December 2018, the deal has been pencilled in for three years, and the alliance was formed as the two brands share similar values and the exposure will provide Nissan with greater interaction with AFL fans.
“Like minded in our approach, Hawthorn is the family club that has the fans and its members at the forefront of everything that it does, and this mirrors Nissan and our Dealers who are committed to our customers – past, present and future.
“This partnership enables Nissan to engage with AFL fans nationally and sustain our presence in the market. It represents an exciting opportunity” said Nissan Australia managing director Stephen Lester.
“Nissan are an incredibly well-respected brand across Australia and the globe, and we are thrilled to be working with them in what is an exciting time for our club heading into 2019,” said Hawthorn Football Club chief executive officer Justin Reeves.
Nissan’s sponsorship extends to Nissan’s logo appearing of the players’ shorts, coaches apparel, Hawthorn’s media back drop and change room signage on game day.
There’ll also be promotional activities at home games, Nissan branding at the MCG and games held in Tasmania along with the creation of the Nissan Lounge at the MCG.
Hawthorn brand ambassadors are yet to be announced.
The deal will also extend to Hawthorn’s VFL division, the Box Hill Hawks along with Hawthorn’s women’s team, in the Victorian Football League Women’s competition (VFLW).
