Mitsubishi Models Recalled Due to Safety Risk

Mitsubishi models recalled due to faulty relays

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has issued a safety recall for a number Mitsubishi models due to a faulty electrical relay. The models affected are the Mitsubishi Lancer (CJ & CF) 15-16MY, Mitsubishi ASX (XB) 15-15.5MY and Mitsubishi Outlander (ZJ & ZK) 14MY & 16-17MY.

The recall surrounds the vehicles’ power relays, that may overheat, causing the car to lose power; potentially causing a collision.

The recall is believed to affect 48,000 vehicles, and Mitsubishi Motors Australia is expected to begin contacting owners and will repair vehicles free of charge when suitable parts become available.

Should customers have any questions or concerns, they are urged to contact Mitsubishi Motors Australia on 1300 1312 11 or contact a local dealer.
