Spy photographers capture thinly disguised and raunchy Mercedes-AMG GT sedan
Mercedes-AMG GT is creating their very own sedan, separate from anything else in the standard Mercedes-Benz range. Up until now, the Mercedes-AMG GT sedan has been top secret, but images have appeared on Salento V12 Facebook page.
The images suggest that AMG has stuck to the lines it used for the GT sedan concept that was shown at the Geneva Motor Show in 2017 and, naturally, more than a few cues have been derived from the Mercedes-AMG GT coupe.
Little else is known about the car, however we suspect it will be powered by AMG’s 4.0 litre twin turbo engine with rear wheel drive and possibly even all-wheel drive. Power should exceed around 372kW and a high performance V8/hybrid version could also be in the works, and it’s expected that this version will serve up over 596kW.
The GT sedan is a working title, and it is not known as to whether the car will bear this name when it is officially launched. Interestingly, Benz is on the cusp of launching the third-generation CLS, but instead of launching a new CLS63, AMG has opted to create a CLS53, which will be powered by a six-cylinder hybrid drivetrain.
Mercedes-AMG is expected to officially reveal its first sedan at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
