Sweden’s Koenigsegg Agera RS Smashes Bugatti Chiron’s 0-400km/h-0 Acceleration Record
The Bugatti Chiron is one impressive piece of automotive art. Volkswagen Group has poured all of its resources to develop a car that is insanely expensive – you’re looking at in excess of US $2.5 million if you want to buy one – and the very best of materials, aerodynamics, engineering and a quad turbo W16 engine that produces around 1,103kW of power and 1600Nm of torque. Truly staggering.
Bugatti recently took a Chiron, put Juan Pablo Montoya behind the wheel and told him to accelerate from 0-400km/h and then reach a stop as quickly as possible. The resulting time was 41.96 seconds. Very fast indeed.
But the Swedes at Koenigsegg thought they could beat this. So they took to an airfield in Denmark with their Agera RS. And the results? You’ll have to watch the video above!
