Kia Australia confirms that the Kia Stinger V6 range will start at $48,990 and the twin-turbo Stinger GT will cost less than $60,000
We’ll cut to the chase. The new, highly anticipated Kia Stinger V6 range with its twin-turbo 3.3 litre V6 will start from just $48,990 when it goes on sale locally in October. Kia Australia also promises that the 272kW/510Nm performance liftback will rocket to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds and will complete the standing quarter mile in 13 seconds flat. Not bad for a car that’s priced at less than $50k.
The Stinger V6 range will open with the Stinger S from $48,990, the mid-spec Stinger Si from $55,990 and the halo Stinger GT from $58,990.
A 2.0 litre turbo engine will also be offered in some models, but Kia will announce pricing details for these versions closer to launch.
“It was critical for us to bring this car to as wide an audience as possible … something I believe we have achieved with the pricing we have been able to settle on,” Kia Motors Australia Chief, Damien Meredith said.
“From the outset it was a goal to get a bi-turbo V6 into the market under $50,000. We have done that with room to spare.”
