Honda reveals the Mean Mower Mark 2, a lawnmower with a promised top speed in excess of 215km/h
Lawnmowers are usually mundane things that are used for one thing and one thing only – the laborious task of cutting the grass.
Honda is renowned for their cars, and lawnmowers and Honda seems to think that lawnmowers don’t have to be boring at all. They created the Mean Mower Mark 1 back in 2014 which was shown on Top Gear and was capable of speeds of up to 187km/h. On a lawnmower! The Mean Mower Mark 1 also earned Honda a place in the Guinness World Records for the fastest lawnmower.
And that record has gone unchallenged, until now. Honda has comeback with the Mean Mower Mark 2. Developed by Honda’s British Touring Car Championship partner Team Dynamics and is powered by a modified engine from a Honda CBR1000R Fireblade super bike.
British racing goddess will be behind the wheel of the Mean Mower Mark 2 attempting to smash that record. While Honda won’t give away official performance figures for the Mean Mower Mark 2, the Fireblade bike can rocket from 0-100km/h in 2.5 seconds so the bonkers lawnmower will be quick.
As for the top speed, Honda is hinting in excess of 215km/h.
