Brabus Tesla Model S boasts improved dynamics and practicality
German tuning firm Brabus has turned its efforts to Tesla’s luxury sedan, revealing a modified Tesla Model S at the Geneva International Motor Show. Brabus used the flagship and most powerful Model S, the Tesla Model S P90D and left the 90kWh battery, its 568kW output and the “Ludicrous” 2.8 second 0-100 sprint time- see what we did there – performance figure untouched. Rather, Brabus has focussed on the handling, developed a menacing body kit, bolted on equally brooding alloys and given the interior a unique makeover.
The body kit was designed using the latest in 3D CAD technology and honed in a wind tunnel to ensure the best aerodynamic and handling properties. The rocker panels, rear diffuser and rear spoiler have all been redesigned in the process and are fashioned from carbon fibre to reduce weight.
Customers will have a choice between matte and glossy finishes.
Inside, Brabus has redesigned the centre console, fitting two wireless phone chargers and heated and cooled cupholders, giving the makeover a touch of function with form.
Finally, Brabus has decked out the cabin with spearmint green leather and floor mats, just so it stands out from the crowd just that little bit more.
