Volvo gives us an in-depth look at the all-new 2018 Volvo XC60
The first generation Volvo XC60 was the Swedish brand’s biggest selling car, with hundreds of thousands of customers across the globe drawn to the stylish SUV’s luxury, performance and of course safety.
The second generation Volvo XC60 has just gone into production in Sweden – the previous model was made in Belgium – and it is built upon Volvo’s new Scaleable Product Architecture, much like its bigger XC90, S90 and V90 counterparts.
Up until now, Volvo has been relatively coy about specifics. Yes, we know that the new 2018 Volvo XC60 adopts Volvo’s stunning new design language inside and out, with those distinctive “Thor’s Hammer” headlights sitting proudly up front.
Head and tail lights are full LED, and the 2018 Volvo XC60 will offer customers a number of style, performance and luxury options that were previously unseen on previous models.
Like big brother XC90, three trim levels will be available: Momentum, R-Design and Inscription and if you want outstanding performance and economy, the T8 hybrid drivetrain will be on offer and it will produce a combined total of 400bhp.
Other highlights include option air suspension, a foot operated power tail gate and clever storage compartments under the rear seats for your iPad
