2018 Ford Mustang Gets Safety Upgrade

2018 Ford Mustang scores an improved safety rating in Euro NCAP….but it’s still not good enough

The current Ford Mustang shocked the Australian public when it only scored an abysmal 2 star ANCAP safety rating when the car was first tested on local soil back earlier this year.

Ford has revised the Mustang for 2018, and, aside from some cosmetic and technological changes, Ford has worked to step up safety adding technologies such as autonomous emergency braking and lane departure assist which have helped the 2018 Ford Mustang score a 3 out of 5 stars in Euro NCAP testing.

While a notable improvement, it is still way off the 5 out 5 stars which is recommended to prospective new car buyers.

It is not known if Australian-delivered 2018 Ford Mustang will benefit from the safety upgrade, as specification and equipment levels may differ to cars sold overseas.
