2017 Nissan X-Trail

2017 Nissan X-Trail Revealed

New engines, styling and more technology for the new 2017 Nissan X-Trail

Nissan has given the mid-size X-Trail a facelift for 2017, with key changes including new styling that gives the X-Trail a tougher more rugged look, a gruntier turbo diesel engine and a host of comfort, convenience and safety technologies.

All models new get emergency braking and forward collision warning as standard. Upper spec Ti and TL models are now equipped with intelligent emergency braking with pedestrian detection and swivelling headlights and all models from the ST-L above are fitted with rear cross traffic alert.

The flagship Ti benefits from adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist.

New wheels help to distinguish the 2017 Nissan X-Trail from the 2016 model.

Customers who splash their cash on a Ti or TL model, will be treated to the convenience of a handsfree electric tailgate, automatic high beams, a heated steering wheel and seat heating front and rear. There’s also a BOSE stereo, just to help remind you that you’re driving a posh X-Trail. A 360 degree camera is also fitted.

Under the bonnet, three engine choices are available: the new 2.0 litre turbo diesel which replaces the old 1.6 litre unit and develops 130kW and 380Nm and is paired to a CVT transmission and all-wheel drive.

The 2.0 litre petrol which produces 106kW and 200Nm and the 2.5 litre petrol which churns out 126kW and 226Nm are both carried over from previous models.

Additional design touches in 2017 Nissan X-Trail cabin include a new steering wheel, gear shift lever and centre console.

The 2017 Nissan X-Trail range is on sale now.
