New mid-engined Corvette C8 snapped testing in the US
American Woodward Facebook Group has snapped a photo of the upcoming mid-engined Corvette C8 testing in Cadillac, Michigan.
The new Corvette appears to be swoopy and rakish in its profile, and there seems to be a hint of Ferrari 488 in the design.
Autoweek suggests that the new Corvette could be powered by Chevrolet’s 417kW LT4 V8 could be tucked away under that bonnet, or even the 372kW LT1 powerplant.
Obviously, there is no word on pricing or specifications at this point. However, given Holden’s overhaul of its range and its eagerness to source halo models from the General Motors international catalogue, Camaro included, the new Corvette C8 could possibly make it here. Although it won’t be cheap if it does.
The Chevrolet Corvette C8 will be officially unveiled at the 2018 Detroit motor show.
