Want a military spec Benz G-Class? Then the Mercedes-Benz G-Class Professional Wagon is for you
Fancy a stripped out, rough and ready Mercedes-Benz G-Class wagon just like the boys and girls from the army use? Now you can, as Mercedes-Benz Australia has confirmed that it will be bringing the Mercedes-Benz G-Class Professional Wagon down under.
The Mercedes-Benz G-Class Professional Wagon will be badged G300 CDI and are powered by a 3.0 litre six-cylinder turbo diesel engine that produces 135kW and 400Nm. That diesel engine is mated to a five-speed automatic that sends power to all four wheels, with power and torque split 50:50 front and rear.
Both Mercedes-Benz G-Class Professional Wagon and utes models are fitted with 100% diff locks, a snorkel, bulbar and 16inch alloy wheels. There’s even a drain plug in the floor, if things get really filthy
Customers who intend to use their Mercedes-Benz G-Class Professional Wagon for long range driving will be pleased to know that there is a 96 litre fuel tank, two 12 volt batteries, tyre pressure monitoring, brake pad wear indicator, a dry air filter warning along with headlight, indicator, sump and guards.
Inside there are four hard wearing seats and walkthrough access to the rear cargo area.
The Mercedes-Benz G-Class Professional Wagon can tow up to a hefty 3,140kgs.
Safety systems include front airbags, anti-lock brakes and electronic stability control.
Options for the Professional Wagon include the PUR package, which consists of a walk on bonnet, electric mirrors, a roof rack, heated glass, side steps, heated seats, towbar, headlight washers, heated leather seats and a radio with CD player for $9,900.
Some options are available individually, depending on the model and a body package is available for the cab chassis version.
